About MetroGolf

Metro Golf Magazines began in 1991 as Metrolina Golf Magazine, serving the Greater Charlotte (N.C.) area, as the brainchild of Gil Capps, who in 1998 sold the publication to current owner/publisher/CEO Reid Spencer. Metrolina Golf Magazine existed as a print publication until 2011, when the magazine began a lengthy and detailed conversion to the digital platform that exists today at www.metrogolfmag.com . Not only does the Metro Golf Magazines website uphold the mission of the original print product—as the No. 1 source for golf information in the Charlotte region—but the reach and the readership of the digital presence has expanded exponentially to include local, regional, national and international news and features.
